MATTHEW WONG IS A GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING
COMPOSER AND MUSIC DIRECTOR BASED IN LOS ANGELES.
He most recently scored shows that aired on ABC and Netflix. He scored features set to debut at Tribeca Film Festival and others film festivals this year.
Wong recently served as the Music Director at WAVE Meditation, an innovative music-driven meditation start-up that made headlines in the wellness, tech, and music industries. In this role, Matthew directs a team of writers, musicians, and composers with a mission to reimagine meditation practice for a modern audience through an ever-evolving catalog of original music.
Matthew composed the score for the second season of the Netflix Series Dating Around, which debuted in June 2020. In 2019, Wong also composed music for popular TV programs including Netflix’s “Dating Around” and A&E’s “Kids Behind Bars”, as well as the documentary films “Wrinkles the Clown.”
In addition to his work in Film and TV, Matt GK Wong composed works on on Jazmine Sullivan’s Grammy-Award Winning album “Heaux Tales”.
Matthew also lived every musicians dream when he recorded and toured internationally with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the acclaimed indie rock band from Philadelphia.Matthew Wong is a proud Chinese–American, born and raised in Portland, OR., and a graduate of Princeton University.
When he’s not busy doing everything above, you can find him with his wife adding more exotic plants to their ever-growing tropical plant collection.
